ffs makes shortlist for Big Well

We are honored to be in the top 4 firms competing to design the new Big Well Museum + Visitor's Center in Greensburg, Kansas.

The selected firm will have the opportunity to express the storytelling that makes up the Big Well history, the tornado that reshaped the town, and how the people of Greensburg responded as a model green community.

It is an exceptional story.

a great start to 2010

Form Field Studio is beginning the year with a full plate. Our residential projects are progressing nicely with more opportunities developing.

We are working to complete construction documents on the multi-family housing renovation in Hyde Park.

Check back for photos to see how this existing space is transformed.

The master planning effort for St. Peter's is helping their congregation t
hink about their future growth and message. We have developed three options for them and are working to reach a final direction.

And lastly, we just finished our entry for the Fr
ee Green Who's Next open residential competition. This is a public voting competition open to practitioners internationally....and the v
ariety of work is outstanding.

Visit the site to see our entry and learn more about sustainable home design.

New Year approaching

2009 has been an amazing year for Form Field Studio.

Here's an update of what we're working on.

Our second residential renovation for this year in Fairway, Kansas has just been permitted and will begin construction next week. We just finished initial programming with the St. Peter's Lutheran Church in Austin, Minnesota and will have round one of master planning options to them soon. And the new construction home in Iowa continues to evolve.

On the new projects front...we have started working with MAC Properties to renovate an abandoned building in Hyde Park into modern for-lease units.

We are very excited to announce that as of this autumn, we are now participating in the 1% program through Public Architecture. And it looks like our first partnership with a local non-profit is in the works. Learn more about the 1%!
